Warsaw Energy Storage Sessions
Poland's Energy Transition delivered.
Battery Energy Storage BESS.
WESS
WESS are informal monthly meetings for young professionals and energy experts interested in Poland’s energy transformation and utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). These meetings focus on market, legal, and technological aspects at the forefront of BESS development in Poland's energy transition
Poland's Energy Shift Spurs Growth in Large-Scale Battery Storage Projects
Poland’s energy and economic landscape presents a favorable environment for the growth of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This growth is driven by regulatory measures phasing out hard coal, the rapid expansion of photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources, a halt in new gas project developments, diminishing lignite resources, and the absence of a centralized strategy for deploying energy storage solutions.
WESS Meetings
During WESS meetings, we aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the upcoming developments in Poland’s energy system, its dynamics, and emerging opportunities. Our focus is on exploring the role and implementation of Battery Energy Storage within this system. To achieve this, we seek to build an interdisciplinary community that fosters the exchange of ideas and drives progress.
Expertise across the energy value chain
We go beyond being vertical specialists. With extensive knowledge across Poland's energy sector, our insights and strategic approach help understand the future direction of Poland's energy transition.
